One-liners, Quotes and Comments from My Journal
I read a lot. Both non-fiction and fiction; religious books and non religious books and, of course, the Bible. My favorite daily devotional is “My Utmost for His Highest” by Oswald Chambers (OC). Many of the statements come from the books I’ve read and I do not take credit for any of them. But, I do try to give credit where credit is due, hence, the initials at the end of my statement. However, whither they are a direct revelation from God or from someone else, I give God the credit because they are a revelation to me. Please approach these NOTES in the same manner I do. I am not plagiarizing, I give God all the credit.

When you intercede for someone, never put your sympathy in the way of what God is doing for that person.
Identification with God is the key to intercession.
The secret to abiding prayer is silence and stillness.
We are not asked to believe in the Bible but to believe in the one whom the Bible reveals. (See John 5:39-40).
Never Rationalize your sin.
When the Lord made a covenant with Israel He included the curses (see Deuteronomy).

In our lives we look up and see either a shadow of agony or the Holy Spirit strengthening us in the midst of turmoil. OC
Our relationship with God is measured by our degree of separation from the world. OC
A child of light will accept his sin. A child of darkness will say “O, let me explain that.” OC
If attention is drown to us we immediately loose that relationship with Him. OC
Our inner-sanctuary must be clean. Our outer court will reflect what is inside. OC
There is no such thing as a Saint who has never suffered. WB
Always give God the benefit of a doubt.
We seldom know what God is doing or how He is doing it. If our heart breaks its because of a lack of faith. God is doing something. Pray and rejoice.
Recognize your weaknesses and find a way to spite them. VM ?
Do not confuse your Condition (in the world) with your Position (in Christ). TH
Beware of the masks you wear, it will soon begin to fit.
